The Water Analysis Laboratory is an integral part of the Water and Waste Laboratories committed to support the advance research needs in environmental engineering and sciences in the department. Being an important component of the Water and Waste Laboratories group, it is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for detail analysis of chemical compositions of environmental samples. The Water Analysis Laboratory is divided into two areas. The main area is devoted to serve the research team for organic characterization and the ICP Room is specialized in the trace analysis of metal species in environmental samples. Water Analysis Laboratory was also named as a State Key Laboratory in Marine Pollution under the PolyU and IUE-CAS Joint Laboratory of Urban Environment and Health.
